To attend the master program, candidates must have acquired a First Cycle Degree (Bachelor) in Geography. Alternatively, candidates must have acquired at least 12 ECTS in the Scientific Disciplinary Sectors of Geography and/or Economic Geography and at least 30 ECTS in the following Scientific Disciplinary Sectors, of which at least 6 must belong to one of the two specified groups: group A) Ecology; Geology; Surveying and mapping; Landscape architecture; Urban and regional planning; Urban design and landscape; Archaeology; Ethnography and anthropology; Medieval history; Modern history; group B) Contemporary history; Economics; Economic history; Statistics; Demography; Social statistics; International relations; Sociology.
In the case of candidates holding a non-EU bachelor's degree in which the requirements are not directly deducible, the candidate's curriculum will be evaluated by a specially appointed Commission according to the methods indicated in the Master Program Regulation.
In order to participate to the master program, B2 level in English language is required.
In order to participate in the Programme Partnership for Knowledge – PfK - Platform 1 you must submit an Application for assessment AICS – by filling the form downloadable here – and send it no later than 15 March 2019 at 12.00 pm – noon - (Italian time), by e-mail to applicationaics@unifi.it along with the following documents:

It is your responsibility to ensure that the required application form and materials are complete and readable. To ensure a smooth application process, you have to strictly follow the instructions below:
Inform the Agency of your application by filling in the on-line application form and sending it no later than 15 March 2019 at 12.00 pm – noon -(Italian time). Applications submitted to the university, which are not matched by the AICS notification form, will not be considered.
An independent scientific board will assess the applications according to pre-defined criteria such as CV relevance, university career, professional experience and gender equality, among others.
Selected candidates will be individually contacted by AICS for the formal acceptance of the scholarship. At this stage, fellows should complete their enrollment to the university by validating the documents submitted through the university website at the local Italian Embassy.
