The first part deals with theoretical and methodological aspects of cultural anthropology. The second part deepen the contribution of cultural anthropology to the field of material and immaterial cultural heritage .
Learning Objectives
Knowledge: the students become acquainted with basic notions and with the theoretical and methodological perspective of the discipline.
Competence: students learn to critically reflect on the different issues connected with tangible and intangible heritage in the contemporary.
Capacity: students are introduced to the heritage anthropology field.
Prerequisites
A basic knowledge about main trends of modern western thinking in social sciences is expected.
