How is urban space represented on the big screen? What kind of imaginaries are activated through the lived visualities of urban space? And what can an iconic film of 1982 tell us about our contemporary lived experience —if it still does?

As a concluding event of the "Urban Geography I: Theories and methods" course, and together with students from the seminar series on the "Philosophy of Technology" (seminario permanente di "Filosofia della Tecnologia", DILEF), we are organising an urban film seminar on Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner" film (1982, director's cut).

The screening will take place on Monday June 8 at 15:00 in room 9 of the Capponi building (via Gino Capponi 9) and will be followed by a discussion coordinated by Federica Buongiorno (philosopher, DILEF Department) and Panos Bourlessas (geographer, SAGAS Department).

The seminar is open to everyone independent from their academic disciplines and studies. We hope to see you there!
